Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental (Brazilian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering – ABES) is a national characterized, non-lucrative, non-governmental organization which objective is to contribute toward the improvement of the life quality of the Brazilian society, through the knowledge of its associates.

With its state chapters, ABES develops a priceless work of valuation of the segment, especially with programs for technical and scientific dissemination and the holding of seminars, symposiums, presentations, debates, courses and congress in Brazil specialized in environmental and sanitary engineering.

The Brazilian Chapter of AIDIS – Asociación Interamericana de Ingeniería Sanitária y Ambiental, an organization that brings together all the countries in the American continent, ABES is internationally renowned, maintaining close ties with correlated international institutions. In Brazil, it also works with Brazilian organizations involved with its Technical Committees.
