Leading Environmental Sanitation Representatives meet at FITABES 2009

Major corporations specializing in environmental sanitary technology are already gearing up for the VIII International Environmental Sanitation Technology Trade Fair  FITABES, which is the largest event for this segment in Latin America.  From September 20 – 24, well-known names in this sector will present new products and services leading to the future of sanitation in Brazil.  The range of exhibitors encompasses the following sectors:  Water Sanitation, Sewage, Water Resources, Solid Wastes, Environmental Control and Protection, State-Owned and Private Water Utilities and many others.

The theme of the XXV Environmental and Sanitary Engineering Congress is:  “Environmental Sanitation:  Universal Access is Social Justice." Its program includes lectures, discussions, panel sessions and round tables addressing topics that range from water treatment and supplies to household and industrial sewage, garbage collection and disposal, biodiversity water resources, global warming, energy efficiency and sustainable development.  In all, 1,700 technical papers will be presented from all over Brazil.  In parallel, the National Solid Wastes Forum will be held, as well as a Special Seminar on Treatment and Re-Use of Industrial Wastes and a Seminar on Loss Control in Water Supply Systems.
